The Leonard-McDowell website has been an ongoing website development project.  This site is a great example of how to develop your website in phases to fit your budget yet still have an impressive web presence with an on-going SEO program.  At this time we are under direct agreement with Leonard McDowell for all of their website maintenance and updates to their site.

Objectives:

Frank Leonard contacted me about a small brochure website that would grow with his business (as a start-up he was on a tight budget).  We wanted to plan for inclusion of press releases and his intern program.  He had put allot of time and effort into social marketing and networking so the site needed to reflect his skills in this area.  We also wanted to make sure that there was a call to action on each page.  The biggest thing was to make sure the site maintained a coherent feel as we added future functions.

Challenge:

Solution:

Small business start-up budget with professional appeareance...

The solution we employed was a Joomla content management system (CMS).  A  CMS would allow for the site growth to keep pace with the business growth and keep within the budget .  This also allowed for the inclusion of future website functions while keeping the site coherent and the clean styling intact.  This also allowed for ease of insertion of future team members and a large number of press releases.

Maxmize social networking...

Frank is a master at twitter and networking.  These skills were refelected in the website development by the use of an area on the left of all pages that allowed his twitter feeds to be picked up by his website life as he posted them. This provided a link to his twitter account from every page if desired.

Effective call to action... One of my bigest complaints about webistes is the lack of area for commuunication with the site owner.  To make it easy for clients and people to communicated with Leonard-mcdowell we put a contact form on most of the pages.
